Casa de Naomi The House of Blessing Book 2 Paula Rose Michelson 9781622951062 Books Reviews

Naomi fled, full of shame, pain and deeply confused. She huddled underneath the blankets in the backseat of her friend Alex's car not wanting to be detected by those she felt shunned her just hours before at what should have been a surprise celebration blessing her by new husband Chaz and their friends. Her lifelong secret revealed by a vindictive girl seeking revenge for no reason but to steal the love of Naomi's life. Naomi intended to tell Chaz herself that night,, but forced to admit her secret in front of Chaz and her friends - Chaz hollered at her "Why did you deceive me?" and walked away.

As Alex sped her away from the Barrio, she showed no curiosity of where he was taking her. He explained he was taking her to a safe place at Wawayanda State Park in New Jersey, part of the Appalachian Trail. From here on Naomi was in strange territory with people like none she had never known. Her closest friend was Ruth - can it be God's own humor that He would put another Ruth and Naomi together? Will you see the parallels in their lives? Will Naomi believe the truth that Ruth and even Marvin; a little child will tell her when she meets him on the Blessings Rock?

Again, as I recommended in my review of Book One - please be sure and read the historical notes in the front of Book Two, as fascinating details about the Queen of Spain and unknown interesting facts about Christopher Columbus will reveal much more about the Spanish Jews and their plight.

Wealthy Chaz fled from New York in his private jet to Texas where he spent some time with his parents only to be told some bitter secrets of truth about his own heritage which agonizes him further about Naomi's betrayal and adds deeper confusion to Chaz's self-image. His loving parents send him to Mexico to visit with his Uncle Hilario for further counsel on his new findings. Soon, I understood why this old scholar was loved and respected so greatly by Chaz - I soon loved this wise man as my favorite character in this story. This gentle man that could hold a dove in his hand and stroke her underbelly so she would coo at him; and feed a morsel to a rabbit at the same time in his garden. Uncle Hilario taught Chaz many truths and surprised him with history to be held in reverence. Chaz has much to think about, so he decides to take a hike in the desert. The dove tamed by Uncle Hilario will have an endearing significance in Chaz's metamorphosis, a fabulous thought of brilliance on our author's part. What an imagination God has given Paula Rose Michelson, not mentioning her own experience that gives her story the strength to carry such burdens into joy in the Lord.

What will happen to Chaz during his desert experience? What will happen to Naomi in her mountain top experience? Will their paths cross again during their journey's to truth. They both seek love, not realizing they are searching for more than one love. Are they both headed for redemption and salvation in the one true redeemer? Did Paula Rose Michelson have a purpose for writing these two incredible stories about Naomi and Chaz? My answer is definitely yes.

After reading the first book in this series by Paula Rose Michelson the decision to read the second book was easily made. It suffices to say, I made the right choice. This book, like its predecessor did not disappoint. In fact it was hard to put down.

Once again the wordsmith Paula Michelson is showed why she is called just that. She continued to captivate my attention and rouse emotions in me with her story and her characters, not once giving me a feeling of boredom or allowed for the drifting of ones mind. You know what you have when a book doesn't really hold your full attention? Not once the other books on my reading list beckoned me while reading this one. A feat, because I am a demanding reader. It is hard to write anything about this book without giving away spoilers, but what I must say is that I felt a true and deep relief at how this story ends.

To summarise it, even if you are not deeply religious, or even care much about books based upon faith, this one does touches even those. At least it did me. It's about humanity, real people and real lives, overcoming real problems and be stronger, better for having lived through it.

Well written and brought to life by a woman who obviously knows what she's writing about.
I don’t even know how to do a review that will come across to readers just how caught up in this book I was. As Naomi struggles with her relationship with God she is introduced to new insights and aspects of God. She has problems with some of her new found Biblical truths. At times it causes her to be angry with what she is hearing and reading. Naomi will eventually come to the realization of just who this Messiah of the Bible is.

Chaz is still furious over Naomi’s betrayal. How could she shame him like this? After visiting his parents he is faced with a secret that his parents have kept from him for years. Chaz is sent away to visit his Uncle in Mexico to learn more about this family secret.

The author wrote a scene between Chaz and his Uncle that is very powerful. I could feel the electricity flowing back and forth. How I wish I was there witnessing what was happening.

Is there any possible chance for Chaz and Naomi to live as man and wife again? Will all the secrets come out and be dealt with? Can there be forgiveness?

Casa de Naomi The House of Blessing Book 2 is a very good read. I love how the Author forces us to examine oneself. Are we hiding secrets that keep us from fully enjoying a relationship with The Messiah and others?

This is a book you do not want to pass up! I can’t wait until Book 3 is published.

Thank you Paula Rose Michelson for your powerful God inspiring books.
I loved the story line that prompted me to purchase #2 book. I felt inclined to help with spelling and typos, but nonetheless, I was very happy with the story and mostly impressed with the history behind both books. There were many, many historical issues I knew nothing about and was enlightened by her books #1 and #2. Not only was the story a good one, but the history as well.
This is the second book and goes on from the first to tell the story of love, redemption, mercy, grace - all the necessary ingredients in the life of a frightened girl who grows into a strong woman. The characters are realistic and lovable and the writing is superb. Paula Rose Michelson will make any reader fall in love - both with her and her characters.
